Stirling Golf Club v Buchanan Castle Golf Club

Stirling Golf Club hosted Buchanan Castle in the final game of the 2011 "A"

 

league season.

 

The results of the eight matches were as follows :

 

Alan Vickers Won

 

Bob Chalmers Lost

 

Miller Hatton Lost 

 

David Holt Won

 

David Upton Lost

 

Gavin Hunter Lost

 

Peter McGowan Lost

 

Harry Smart Lost

 

The overall match score was 6-2, to the hosts. This result confirms Stirling as

"A" league champions and our congratulations go to them on a successful

season. Unfortunately the result also confirms the relegation of Buchanan

Castle to the "B" league along with Falkirk Tryst.

A big thank you to all who made a commitment to the team this year, it is very

much appreciated by all concerned.

It was always going to be a big ask for Buchanan to stay up in the "A" league

and unfortunately we did fall a bit short, never mind there is always next time.

Our 10 bay covered driving range is now open and fully operational
 
Academy membership is available for both juniors and adult beginners
 
Players will be given the opportunity to learn the game, develop core skills and graduate to the 18 hole course
 
Junior coaching is available through “clubgolf scotland”
 
The covered driving range, the outdoor range, grassed practice area/short game area and the academy course offer unrivalled facilities for players of all abilities.
